Steel cup seals fit directly over screw heads and bolt heads, enclosing the fastener entirely so it cannot be turned without destroying the seal. Three sizes cover different fastener diameters: Small 3/8 inch (Model Metal-Cup-S), Medium 3/4 inch (Model Metal-Cup-M), and Large 1 inch (Model Metal-Cup-L). To apply, the back piece is threaded onto the fastener before tightening, then the front cap is snapped on. Once locked, any rotation of the fastener visibly distorts or breaks the cup seal.
Lead seals are looped through a wire threaded into or around the component being sealed, then crimped with a seal press that imprints a unique identifier, such as an inspector badge number or series logo, directly into the lead. The 5-inch Bulldog Seal Press is available with custom die options and replacement dies, making it well-suited for race officials or engine builders who need a portable, field-ready sealing solution at the track.
Cable seals secure equipment cases, tool storage, and parts containers during transport between race events. The Barcoded Cable Seal (Cablelock 1.5) is available in 14-inch and 24-inch cable lengths, providing tamper evidence on cases while allowing seal numbers to be scanned and logged across a full season for equipment inventory control. This helps teams verify that cases have not been accessed during transport without needing to inspect every item inside.
Officials inspect the seal body for any physical signs of cutting, grinding, heat application, or chemical attack. For lead seals, they compare the imprint on the seal against the known die identifier for that official or series. A legitimate seal will match exactly. For cup seals, any attempt to move the enclosed fastener visibly distorts or breaks the cup, making interference immediately apparent without special tools or equipment.
